(A) Relative mRNA levels of the ANP precursor (NPPA) and ANP receptors (NPR-A and NPR-C) in different organs of wild-type mice as determined by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR; n = 5 for each group). The Y axis represents the expression level difference between the cycle threshold (CT) value of the target gene and the β-actin, and the smaller the Y axis value, the higher the gene expression. (B) Mice were treated with 3% dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) in drinking water for 7 days.
